Toronto Maple Leafs (2.65) at Philadelphia Flyers (1.53); Total 5.5
The Leafs are coming off a wild 5-4 win over the Canadiens on Saturday night. The big news coming out of Toronto is the injury sufffered by goalie James Reimer on Saturday. Luckily for the Leafs it doesn’t appear to be too serious. It is being called a minor neck injury. However, Reimer will not be in goal tonight when the Leafs visit the Flyers. Gustavsson will get the start in goal for Toronto. In his two appearances of the season Gustavsson has struggled putting up a 5.33 GAA and just a .853 save %. Gustavsson will have to be much better for the Leafs to have any chance tonight. As for the Flyers they are coming off a 4-2 loss to the Blues on Saturday and have dropped 2 in a row after a great start. Can the Flyers bounce back tonight vs. the Leafs?
I like the Flyers to bounce back tonight and get the win over the Leafs. Bobrovsky will be back in goal for the Flyers. Bobrovsky is 1-0 on the season with a win over the Senators last week. Bobrovsky may be the back in Philly but he is a proven goaltender with his 54 games played last season and 2.59 GAA. Big edge on the defensive side and small edge in goal for the Flyers. The Flyers can’t be happy about dropping two in a row. Look for them to take their unhappiness out on the Leafs tonight. Currently the Flyers are a 1.53 favorite at 5 Dimes Online Sportsbook.
