Montreal Canadiens (1.83) at Ottawa Senators (2.00); Total 5.5
Well it was a great run for the Ottawa Senators but it finally came to an end. After winning 6 consecutive games the Senators finally lost a game. The Sens fell 5-3 to the Bruins in Boston on Tuesday. The Montreal Canadiens seem to have righted the ship. After 6 staight losses and panic about to set in the Habs finally awoke from their slumber and have reeled off three wins a row. The Habs actually have back to back wins in a home and home series with their dreaded rival the Boston Bruins. Both number one goalies (Price and Anderson) are expected to start tonight’s game. Currently the Canadiens are a 1.83 road favorite in this game at Bodog Sportsbook.

To me this looks like about as even as a game can possible get with both teams playing great hockey. What doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me is why the Canadiens are favored? The game is in Ottawa and this alone should make them a small favorite with all other things being equal. Instead we see the Canadiens as the favorite. The Sens record at home this season is great at 5-2 while the Habs are 2-2 on the road. It is no secret that the Canadiens struggle to score at times. Meanwhile the Senators have scored 3 or more goals in 7 straight games. The wrong team is favored in this game. I’ll take the Senators in this game for 2.00 at Bodog Sportsbook.
Are The Canadian Sports Lotteries Fair?
Proline (In Ontario) has the Senators a favorite in this game. Mise-O-Jeu (the Quebec Sports Lottery) has the Canadiens as a favorite. They know that people in Ontario will be betting on the Senators and that people in Quebec will be betting on the Canadiens so they lower the odds for them. This doesn’t seem fair to me. Does it seem fair to you?
