New Jersey Devils (+150) vs. Buffalo Sabres (-170); Total 5

The Buffalo Sabres may be without Ryan Miller in goal but it has not stopped them from piling up the wins. The Sabres are coming off a 3-2 come from behind SO win over the Canadiens two night ago in Montreal. With that win the Sabres have won 5 of their last 6 games. How good has Jhonas Enroth been for the Sabres? He has been amazing. Enroth is a perfect 6-0 in the games he has started this season. In the 8 appearances he has made Enroth has posted 1.76 GAA with a .954 save%.

As for the Devils they are coming off a hard fought last minute loss last night in Buffalo. The Bruins scored with just a few minutes left in the game to take the game 4-3. The Devils  are right back at it tonight with another tough game vs. the Sabres. Marty Brodeur will get the start in goal tonight for the Devils. It is becoming quite clear that Brodeur is not the same goalie he once was. Brodeur has been battling injuries and age and it is catching up with him. For the season Brodeur is just 2-3 with a 3.02 GAA and .880 save %.

Selection:

The Sabres are hot right now and I’m going to ride the hot hand in this one. The Sabres catch the Devils on back to back road games and have a big edge in goal given the current forms of Enroth and Brodeur. Currently the Sabres are a -170 (or 1.59) favorite at 5 Dimes Sportsbook. Instead of laying so much juice I’ll play the Sabres to win in regulation time for -108 (or 1.93) at 5 Dimes Sportsbook.
