Dallas Stars (+145) vs. New York Rangers (-165); Total 5
There are a lot of reasons to like the New York Rangers in this game. Let’s take a look at a few of them. First off the Rangers have a huge advantage in goal with Henrik Lundqvist. Lundqvist is 10-2-1 with a 1.91 GAA since the 1st of November. In goal for the Stars will be
Randy Richard Bachman making his 2nd career start. Sure he won his first career start but their is no comparing Bachman to Lundqvist. Next we have the Dallas Stars in a brutal scheduling spot. The Stars played their last game in Los Angeles on Dec 10 and have to make the long cross country trip to New York to face the red hot Rangers. This does not boad well for the Stars. Finally, we have Brad Richards facing his old team for the very first time. This is not a huge deal but it should at the very least motivate Richards and his teammates for this game.

Rangers are 7-1-1 in their last 9 games and have a huge edge in goal to go along with a favorable scheduling spot. Currently the Rangers are a 1.61 (-165) favorite in this game at 5 Dimes Sportsbook. The Rangers to win in regulation time are paying 2.01 (+101). Instead of laying the -165 I’ll take the Rangers to get it done within the first 60 minutes (regulation time). For this bet to be a winner the Rangers must be winning by 1 or more goals at the end of the third period. If the game is tied or Dallas is winning at the end of the 3rd period this bet does not win.
