Cincinnati Bengals (+3) vs. Houston Texans (-3); Total 38.5
Neither the Cincinnati Bengals or the Houston Texans played very well down the stretch. The Bengals were unable to get it done against the Ravens in week #17 with their playoff lives on the line but got some help and backed into the playoffs. As for the Texans well their last few games were rather meaningless having already clinched a playoff spot. Still it will be interesting to see if the Texans can flick the switch and get back to playing good football. And they are going to have to do it with Yates at QB. Yates will get the start at QB for the Texans with Jake Delhomme backing him up. Even Yates (the 3rd string QB is not 100%). You can expect to see a BUNCH of Arian Foster in this game. Texans WR Andre Johnson will play but how healthy is he and how effective will he be with Yates at QB? At the very least Johnson should provide a good decoy and open up some runing room for Foster. Neither of these teams is familiar with playoff football but one of them will be moving on. Who will it be?

Cincinnati Bengals vs Houston Texans Prediction:
This is a tough game to get a read on. What does stand out to me are the offensive challenges that face both teams. First we have two rookie QB’s playing in their first playoff game so seeing them struggle a little more than usual would not be surprising. Bengals QB Dalton has been battling the flu all week and there is a chance he will not be as sharp as usual. The Bengals run game has been disappointing. Benson has run for 100+ yards just once in his last 5 games. As for the Texans their injuries on the offensive side have been well documented. I just don’t see there being many points in this game. Currently the total for this game is 38.5 points at Bodog Sportsbook. I like the Bengals vs. Texans game to go UNDER the total for 1.95 at Bodog.
