Columbus Blue Jackets (2.45) vs. Tampa Bay Lightning (1.57); Total 5.5
The Tampa Lightning look to keep their winning streak alive against the lowly Blue Jackets. The Lightning have a bunch of injuries (Ryan Malone being the latest) but it hasn’t stopped them from winning. The Lightning have won 3 in a row scoring 10 goals and are playing some of their best hockey of the season. Yes they have injuries but all their big offensive guns (Stamkos, St. Louis, etc.) are all healthy. As for the Blue Jackets they have lost 3 in a row allowing 10 goals while only scoring 3 themselves. Will Tampa’s winning streak and Columbus’ losing streak continue tonight?

Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Tampa Bay Lightning Prediction:
This is a real bad spot for the Blue Jackets. It will be their 3rd game in 4 nights and second of back-to-back road games. This is the worst scheduling spot a team can face in the NHL. And it’s not like the Blue Jackets have been very good under the best of circumstances. On the road Columbus has been bad at just 5-16-3. Meanwhile Tampa has won 3 in a row, has been solid at home going 12-7-1, and beat the mighty Bruins in their last home game. Garon will get the start goal tonight for the lightning. Garon has been better than Roloson and Garon is facing his former team so you know he will be on top of his game. Currently the Lightning are a 1.57 favorite. I prefer to play these big favorites in regulation time to get a better price. I’ll take the Lightning to win in regulation time for 1.90 at 5 Dimes Sportsbook.
