Penguins vs. Leafs Proline Pick For February 1, 2012
Pittsburgh Penguins (1.87) vs. Toronto Maple Leafs (1.95); Total 5.5
The Pittsburgh Penguins and Toronto Maple Leafs will be right back at it again tonight this time in Toronto. Last night the Leafs jumped out to a commanding 4-1 lead early in the 3rd period but could not hold the lead and ended up losing the game in a shootout. Reimer will get the call in between the pipes for Toronto tonight. No goalie is confirmed yet (4:30 PM ET) for the Pens but we will most likely see Johnson in goal for them. With the win last night the Penguins have now won 8 games in a row. It is always difficult winning both games in a home-and-home series. Can the Pens pull off the home-and-home sweep of the Leafs?

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Toronto Maple Leafs Prediction:
It is always difficult to win both ends of a home-and-home series. Just like in baseball it is difficult to win both ends of a double header. There is just something about losing the first game that seems to motivate that team for the second game. More often than not we see a good effort from the team that lost the first game. I think we see a motivated effort from a Leafs team that is embarrassed they blew what seemed to be an insurmountable lead. Currently the Penguins are a small road favorite (1.87) with the Leafs paying 1.95 at Bodog Sportsbook. I’ll take the Leafs to put an end to the Penguins winning streak.
