Kings vs. Lightning Proline Pick For February 7, 2012
Odds: Los Angeles Kings (1.95) vs. Tampa Bay Lightning (1.87); Total 5
Dwayne Roloson Alert! It has become quite clear this season that Dwayne Roloson’s better years have passed him by. Roloson is sporting a brutal 3.65 GAA and .882 save % in 24 games this season. Roloson has been confirmed to start tonight’s game – his first start in more than two weeks. It is hard to imagine Roloson being very effective in this game. The L.A. Kings are the complete opposite of the Lightning in that they are all about defence. The Kings have allowed 2 or more goals in 8 of their last 9 games. Can the Kings slow down a potent Lightning offence that has scored 4 or more goals in 4 of its last 5 games?

Los Angeles Kings vs. Tampa Bay Lightning Prediction:
First let’s look at the total in this game. Currently the total is just 5 goals (1.77 to the Over) at Bodog Sportsbook. With Roloson in goal for the Lightning and the potency of this Lightning offence 5 goals doesn’t seem to be asking too much. Sure the Kings are a good defensive team and will be able to slow down the Lightning a bit but I don’t see it being enough to keep this game to 4 goals or less. At worse we should push this bet. I’ll take the Kings vs. Lightning to go OVER 5 goals for 1.77 at Bodog Sportsbook.
