NFL Proline Picks | Week #7 (2012-13 Season):

Free NFL Picks For Week #7:

Monday Night Pick: Lions (+7) vs. Bears (-7); Total 46

The Lions are coming off a win over the Eagles lat week. The offence looked good at times but also looked very bad at times as well. The Lions have had a rough start to the season but with all of their offensive weapons it is just a matter of time before they put it all together. The Bears are coming off a bye week and look to match the Vikings with a 5th win on the season. At 2-3 the Lions can’t afford another loss as they are already at the bottom of the NFC North Standings. When it comes to division games we never like laying a lot of points especially against teams with an explosive offense (as this increases the chance of a backdoor cover). Currently, the spread in this game is the Bears -6.5 points at Bodog for -110 and the Bears -7 points at 5 Dimes for +107. We’ll take the +7 points with the Lions (for -132) in this game.

Taking The LIONS +7 Points @ 1.76

(Offered at Bodog & Bovada & 5 Dimes)

Risking 132.00 To Win 100.00

Selection #1: Packers (-5.5) vs. Rams (+5.5); Total 45.5

It took them a few weeks but the Packers from last season seem to be back. The Packers are fresh off a 42-24 win over the then unbeaten Texans. Rodgers threw for 6 touchdowns and the Packers defence was just as impressive. Foster managed just 29 yards on 17 carries vs. the Packers D. Quite impressive. This week the Packers travel to St. Louis who are coming off a 17-14 loss in Miami. The Rams defense has been good this season but their offense has not. St. Louis has scored just 59 points in their last 4 games (14.75 points per game). When the Packers are clicking there is no defense that can stop them and we don’t think the Rams can score enough to keep this game close. Currently the Packers are a -5.5 favorite at most sportsbooks. We like the Packers to cover.

Taking The PACKERS -5.5 Points @ 1.91

(Offered at Bodog & Bovada & 5 Dimes)

Risking 110.00 To Win 100.00

Selection #2: Redskins (+6) vs. Giants (-6); Total 51

RG3 proved he had recovered from that big hit two weeks ago by coming out with one his greatest games of his young career. Last week Griffin completed 17 of 22 passes for 182 yards and also ran for 138 yards including a 75 yard TD run in a 38-26 win over a good Vikings team. The Giants themselves were quite impressive as they went into San Fran and dominated them. There are a lot of reasons to like the Redskins (to cover the +6 points) in this game. The Giants do much better against the spread when taking points rather than laying points and the Giants have been a much better road team than home team the past few seasons. The Giants are just 1-2 ATS in 3 home games this season and the only game they covered in was vs. the Browns in which they were down big early. The Redskins have played the Giants tough winning both games vs. them last season (without RG3 of course). We expect this to be another close division game that goes down to the last possession. Therefore, we’ll take the Redskins and the +6 points in this game.

Taking The REDSKINS +6 Points @ 1.91

(Offered at Bodog & Bovada & 5 Dimes)

Risking 110.00 To Win 100.00

Selection #3: Steelers (-1) vs. Bengals (+1); Total 45

The Sunday Nighter features a division matchup between the Steelers and Bengals but you may not recognize many of the players on the Steelers. Pittsburgh has been hit with a slew of injuries including both RB’s (Mendenhall and Redman) who both will miss Sunday’s game. Dwyer is expected to get the start at RB for PIT. The Steelers C Pouncey is also questionable for Sunday and to make matters worse Roethlisberger sprained his ankle in practice on Thursday but he will play, but will he be 100%? And then there are a bunch of injuries on Defence for the Steelers including S Polamalu who will not play. With both sides healthy this would figure to be a close contest but with all the injuries to PIT we don’t see why the Steelers are still favored in this game (they may not be the favorite come kick-off). We’ll take the Bengals and the +1 Points in this game.

Taking The BENGALS +1 Points @ 1.91

(Offered at Bodog & Bovada & 5 Dimes)

Risking 110.00 To Win 100.00

Thursday Night – Selection: Seahawks (+7) vs. 49ers (-7); Total 38

The 49ers are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Giants while the Seahawks are coming off a last-minute come from behind win over the Patriots. Both teams enter this game with a record of 4-2 and the winner will gain sole possession of the division lead. This game features two good defensive teams so when you look at the point spread in this game (-7 for the 49ers) 7 points seems like a lot. Even the low total of 38 points in this game suggest a tight low scoring affair. The Seahawks are coming off a big win, they have been playing great on the defensive side, and we like them to keep this game close. We’ll take the Seahawks and the +7 points in the week #7 Thursday Nighter.

Taking The SEAHAWKS +7 Points @ 1.95

(Offered at Bodog & Bovada)
